When United brought Fernandes to the theatre of dreams, fans all over the world getting really excited with the prospects. A justified excitement indeed, since Fernandes was at that time one of the most productive midfielder in the world, with his intoxicating play and determination key to Sporting Lisbon success in winning Portuguese top division.

Fernandes certainly didn't need much time to adapt to life in England, as he's straight away becoming United's best player, and looked like their best signing in years. That incredible form certainly was not only a momentary blip, he has consistently remained Manchester United’s best player over the years—even after the return of Cristiano Ronaldo. For me personally, Bruno Fernandes is still the standout performer at the club.

A player of Fernandes's caliber truly deserved more, and he couldn't have picked a worse time to join United, he's simply unlucky. Because with his quality, combined with the right team elsewhere, would be a total success. He's simply a world class player who have picked the wrong place to progress his career. Such a shame.
