One of the best finisher that has ever produced by Spain, Villa is a technically astute striker, with great eye for goal and ability to use both feet effectively. When he arrived at Barcelona, it's always gonna be a certainty that he would not become the main striker due to a certain guy named Messi. Instead he was moved to the wing by Guardiola, often in the left position and sometimes on the right, providing width with his pace and skills which was useful in one-on-one situation. This brought massive success as they became Champions League winner for the second time under Guardiola's management back in 2010-2011 season, by beating Manchester United with another dominant performance in the final. Some tactical adjustment seems to not bother Villa's quality, as he still showed great return of goals, and managed to build scintillating partnership with Messi and Pedro upfront. This was an evident of Villa's adaptability as a footballer, and his willingness to sacrifice his own good for the team result. An exemplary attitude from a player who has won the world cup medal already.
