The super talented Thiago, who was probably the most technically gifted footballer in the last decade. Young Thiago was an exciting player, able to move quickly with the ball, making smart decisions, and delivering incisive passes, a trait that was so fitted for tiki-taka style. I remember he came out of nowhere and start to mesmerize me with his brilliant touch and control during 2011-2012 pre season and early matches, then he performed well in the U21 tournament which was won by Spain, where Thiago was undoubtedly the best player. Even as early as this set, we could see that he has great potential. Turns out he wasn't quite becoming the all round player that I expect him to be, yet his style of play and technical brilliance still very important in winning the treble with Bayern during 2019-2020 season. The way he controls midfield is very much like a reminiscence of what Xavi used to do.
